Book on WhatsApp
How do I book, how long is the wait, and can I be seen at short notice?
You can book by phone on +852 2522 2099, through the clinic website, or on WhatsApp. Saturday slots fill quickly, so it helps to book ahead. If you have an urgent concern, contact the clinic directly and the team will advise on the earliest available time.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring photo ID (HKID card or passport). If you have any past dental records or X-rays, bring them along, and note any medications you currently take and any drug allergies. If you plan to claim from your own insurer afterwards, keep your receipt details on hand.
What dental services does the clinic offer?
Diestel & Partners offers general and specialist dental care, including check-ups, scaling and fillings, dental implants, bone grafting and All-on-4, root canal treatment (with surgical microscope), oral and maxillofacial surgery, crowns and bridges, veneers and cosmetic work, braces and Invisalign, dentures and gum treatment.
What does an oral and maxillofacial surgeon treat?
Oral and maxillofacial surgery covers surgical problems of the mouth, teeth and jaws, such as more complex extractions, dental implants and bone grafting. A first consultation usually covers your history and symptoms, an examination and any X-rays or scans needed, then an explanation of the treatment options; surgery is not necessarily done on the same day.
Do you accept Health Care Vouchers?
Yes. The clinic accepts Hong Kong Health Care Vouchers. Ask the clinic when you book or arrive about eligible treatments and how to use them.
How much does a dental visit in Central cost, and how can I compare clinics?
Private dentists in Hong Kong set their own fees. As a reference, the Prince Philip Dental Hospital fee schedule lists an examination or consultation at HK$600–2,500, with treatment charged separately; these are reference fees, not our clinic’s actual fees. Your fee is confirmed after examination and diagnosis. When comparing clinics, ask each one to list the consultation, X-ray and treatment fees. Fee reference

How can I check that a dentist is registered or a specialist?
Every practising dentist in Hong Kong must be registered with the Dental Council of Hong Kong, and specialists are listed on a separate Specialist Register. You can search both on the Dental Council registers. Each dentist’s qualifications and languages are listed on our dentists and hygienists page.
What if I have a toothache at night or on a public holiday in Central?
Diestel & Partners is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays and public holidays; it is not open 24 hours. On Sundays you can book at Smith & Jain Dentists nearby (09:00 to 13:00). While the clinic is closed, for bleeding that won’t stop, facial swelling that spreads quickly, or trouble breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest public hospital A&E (on Hong Kong Island, for example Ruttonjee Hospital in Wan Chai or Queen Mary Hospital in Pok Fu Lam, both open 24 hours) or call 999. For other toothache, ease the pain at home and call the clinic as soon as it next opens. Emergency dental care
Are you open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays?
Yes, on Saturday mornings. Diestel & Partners is open Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 13:00, and closed on Sundays and public holidays. For a Sunday appointment, our sister clinic Smith & Jain Dentists on D’Aguilar Street, Central, is open on Sunday 09:00 to 13:00.
Which languages does the team speak?
The team speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi and Punjabi between them.
Which MTR exit is nearest to Melbourne Plaza?
Central Station Exit D2 (Pedder Street). Melbourne Plaza is directly above the station on Queen's Road Central; take the lift to the 19th floor, Room 1914. It is about one minute from the station.
Is there parking nearby?
Public transport is recommended in Central, but commercial car parks are available around Central and the Lan Kwai Fong area.
